Ticket machines
Open day and night - easy to operate
The Rheinbahn has ticket machines in all underground stations and at larger stops. These machines sell single tickets, 4-trip tickets, day tickets, group tickets and upgrade tickets - 24 hours a day.
Furthermore, you find ticket machines in all low-floor tramcars and in all municipal railway cars and other tramcars.
Ticket machines at underground stations or stops
If your destination is only one or two stops away, you can find it on the list of short distance destinations. For all other destinations in the city, price level A applies. If you travel to other cities you will find the correct price level on the destination overview.
- Press the button for your price level (orange for single tickets, blue for 4-trip tickets, yellow for day tickets, grey for group tickets, white for upgrade tickets). The left-hand row of buttons for adult tickets, the right-hand row for children tickets.
- The price is shown in the display.
- Insert the appropriate amount. Most ticket machines also accept notes.
- Take the ticket and start your journey. Do not forget to stamp your ticket in the machine inside our trams and buses.
